Finos Get 9-5 Win Versus Amarillo
The El Paso Finos beat the Amarillo Horizons, 9-5, at Finos Park. The Finos got a fine performance from first baseman Matt Kellams, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Picking up the win was Kyle Carr. He went 8 innings, allowing 5 runs on 2 hits. The right--hander struck out 4 and walked 6. At 33-52, the Finos are currently last in the Association of Western Texas Odessa Circuit.

Kellams contributed a big hit, a grand slam home run, for El Paso in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-0, Kellams took a curveball from Josh Dawson and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Finos to leap in front, 4-2.

"Winning is hard sometimes," said Finos manager T.E. Newell. "This one was nice to get."
