Amarillo and Marfa duked it out and the Horizons came out victorious.

The Amarillo Horizons withstood an impressive performance by Marfa catcher Tulio Gutiérrez to defeat the Ghost Lights, 10-7, at Horizons Park. Gutiérrez was 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Josh Dawson, who went 7 innings, was the winning pitcher. He was charged with 7 runs on 12 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 1. His record now stands at 3-3. Lázaro Gaspar earned the save for Amarillo, his 3rd of the year.

Amarillo second baseman Thomas Suddarth made an impact. He drilled a 2-run single in the bottom of the first. For the game, Suddarth went 3-4 with 3 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

In postgame comments to the Amarillo Daily News, Suddarth said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
