Carmelo Ortiz was the difference-maker for the Aibonito Polluelos in what turned into a shootout with the Yabucoa Azucareros. Ortiz went 3-for-5 in the 13-12 Polluelos win. The first-place Polluelos improved to 36-30.

The Polluelos relied on pinch hitter Pascual Juárez for the game-winning hit. And, in the bottom of the 11th, he delivered, hitting a run-scoring single to seal the deal.
