North Stars Snatch Late Win
The Thessalon North Stars picked up a win at Rapids Grounds, knocking off the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 5-4. Starting pitcher Bill Ewing played a key role in the triumph. Thessalon now owns a record of 42-49.

The outcome might have been different for Thessalon, had it not been for Teddy MacAulay, the 32-year old third baseman . MacAulay stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put Thessalon up, 3-1. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Thessalon manager Arthur Irwin.
