The Pickering Bonebreakers topped the Thessalon North Stars, 5-2, in Ontario Baseball Association action at North Stars Park. The standout performance belonged to Pickering pitcher and Hamilton, Canada, native Bill Dukeshire. Dukeshire, now 18-10, was the winner. In 9 innings, he gave up 10 hits, while striking out 3, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. At 42-40, the Bonebreakers are currently third in the Ontario Baseball Association Southern Division.

Rich Lesage, the three-time Maple Syrup Hand winner , had a direct impact on the outcome. Lesage contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Pickering up, 2-0.

"I thought we played a nice game," Dukeshire told the Pickering Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
