Pickering beat Thessalon at Bonebreakers Field, escaping with a 4-3 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop Rich Lesage. He was 4-4 with 3 doubles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. With the win over Thessalon, the Bonebreakers improved to 35-38.

Lesage had a game-changing double in the bottom of the eighth. On a first pitch fastball from Matthew Eby, he banged a run-scoring double to right-center, giving the Bonebreakers a 4-3 lead. It was the 24th double of the year for Lesage.

Lesage told the Pickering Citizen: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
