Rapids Thrill Fans with 6-5 Win
Thessalon first baseman Eric Hollinger had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Hollinger was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, even as Sault Ste. Marie beat the North Stars, 6-5. The win takes Sault Ste. Marie to 6-4.

Randy Latimer was the walk-off hero for Sault Ste. Marie. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Rapids third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

After the game, Latimer refused to speak to a reporter for the Sault Ste. Marie News. "You've accused me of throwing teammates under the bus," he said. "So, excuse me if I decline to answer your questions."
