The Thessalon North Stars racked up a win at Rapids Grounds, bumping off the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids, 5-2. Matthew Eby, who started for Thessalon, pitched effectively for his team. The victory makes Thessalon 4-4.

Thessalon used the clutch hitting of Teddy MacAulay to capture the win. The third baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the North Stars ahead, 5-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Thessalon skipper Arthur Irwin.
