León Tosses 4-0 Shutout Monday, July 19th , 1897 The bats were ice cold today for the Ciudad Acuna Galanes at Ciudad Acuna Grounds. Nuevo Laredo Colibris starter Simón León kept the Galanes cold all day, shutting them out in a 4-0 victory. In a fine outing, the 30-year-old hurler allowed 3 hits while striking out 4 and walking 0. "I'm not quite sure what was different today," León admitted later. "I didn't feel like I was doing anything differently, but the results speak for themselves."
