Argueta Collects OBA Moose Calf Monday, September 20th , 1897 The brightest new star in the Ontario Baseball Association has been named. The 1897 Moose Calf has been handed out to Sudbury's shortstop Vidal Argueta, who outshined all his first-year peers in the balloting and on the diamond. He hit .315 for the Sudbury Meteors, racking up 165 hits, 1 home run, 67 RBIs, and 92 runs scored to capture the trophy. He received 16 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Judá Guzmán of the Sudbury Meteors finished second in voting, while Aarón González of the Sault Ste. Marie Rapids finished third.
