Farrell Named LBQ Rookie of the Month Wednesday, September 1st , 1897 Last month Cole Farrell overwhelmed Ligue de Baseball du Québec clubs and nailed down 6 victories. Today the Trois-Rivieres starter was awarded the league's Rookie of the Month trophy. He was acclaimed for his outstanding performance during the month of August. Farrell soared through the LBQ with 6 wins and 1 loss and a 3.30 ERA. He struck out 15 in 62.2 innings and other clubs to a .294 average. In 14 starts this season Farrell has fashioned a 10-4 record and a 2.85 ERA. |
