Mollet Snags OBA Top Hurler Trophy Wednesday, September 1st , 1897 An outstanding 6-1 record in August earned Jacques Mollet the Pitcher of the Month Award in the Ontario Baseball Association. When his name was penciled in to start on the Nipissing lineup card, it meant trouble for opposing teams. In 54.1 innings of work, Mollet limited opposing batters to 64 base hits and a .299 batting average. He notched 17 strikeouts, issued 15 walks and had a 3.31 ERA. So far this season Mollet has 21 wins and 18 losses and a 3.67 ERA. |
