Brennan Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Saturday, August 21st , 1897 And the streak goes on. Dan Brennan collected yet another hit in the 6-5 Brampton Florists win over the Wheelwrights at Markham Stadium today. The Brampton shortstop finished 1-for-4 in the game. During an extended batting practice session before the game, the famously hard-working Brennan had fielded questions from reporters about his hitting streak, which now sits at 20 games. "I'm not doing too much special," he said. "I'm well-prepared and I'm just trying to get the bat on the ball and put it in play."
