Picard Captures OBA Batter of Month Award Sunday, August 1st , 1897 Paxton Picard hit the baseball with consistency all month long and was voted the Ontario Baseball Association's Batter of the Month for July. The Hamilton first baseman batted .449 and posted 4 home runs, 36 RBIs and 17 runs scored. He also drew 12 walks for a .517 OBP. Picard has a .367 average and a .455 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 141 hits, 7 home runs and driven in 77 runs. |
