Drier Hot, Trifluviens Cold Saturday, July 3rd , 1897 Dan Drier led the Lachute Supercalenders to a 5-0 shutout victory over the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens at Trois-Rivieres Stadium today. "My pitching coach told me before the game just to bear down and focus," Drier recalled later. "He said no one was going to hit me if I'm throwing a good breaking ball with good location." Drier yielded 8 hits and had 2 strikeouts and 3 walks in the standout performance. "I thought he put the ball where he wanted to," Trois-Rivieres manager Lloyd Coulter said.
