OBA's Best Starter is Loder Thursday, July 1st , 1897 June's standout hurler was Mike Loder of Hamilton. He muzzled Ontario Baseball Association hitters and held them in check the entire month to capture the Pitcher of the Month award. To win the honor Loder compiled an impressive 5-3 mark and 2.87 ERA in 10 starts. The Hammers star hurler also rung up 38 strikeouts in 84.2 innings. To this point in the season, Loder shows a 16-7 record, 25 starts, 213 innings, 79 strikeouts and a 2.87 ERA. |
