Burford Given Pink Slip Saturday, October 16th , 1897 The Cardiff Arcadians and Harvey Burford have parted ways. It was announced today by club officials that Harvey Burford had been dismissed as the team's manager. Arcadians GM Melgar told reporters that "certain goals were mutually agreed upon this season and, in our estimation, they have not been reached. Our team has not made the progress we were promised." Burford told BNN that he is "proud of what has been accomplished in my tenure as the Arcadians manager. We have a better club now than when I first got here. I'm just sorry it ended this way." |
