Top Rookie of the Month Named by GBBO Friday, October 1st , 1897 A sparkling 5-2 mark in September just about says it all. First-year phenom David Hamilton of the Wrexham Druids put up a strong performance and that's why the Great British Base-Off rated him the Rookie of the Month. He stood out by holding opposing clubs to a .179 batting average and compiling a 1.01 ERA. Hamilton struck out 34 and walked 20 in 71 innings. Season-to-date Hamilton has rung up 24 wins and 10 losses in 45 appearances. He has an ERA of 2.26 and has fanned 148 batters in 350 innings. |
