Derry Blanks Salmon, Olvera Wins Sunday, September 5th , 1897 Derry Maidens hurler Servio Olvera logged a 4-hit, complete game shutout over the Salmon, stopping them 8-0 at Maidens Field today. "I felt great out there," Olvera said in his postgame interview. "After the second or third inning, I got real comfortable. Hopefully this is a building block for me. I'd love a few more starts like this." He rung up 6 strikeouts and gave up 6 walks in the performance. This year Olvera has fanned 166 in 296.1 innings and collected a 15-19 record with a 3.07 ERA.
