No Late-Season Magic Coming: Wichita Falls Out of Playoffs Wednesday, September 29th , 1897 It "never gets easier" to have a playoff push come to an end, according to starting pitcher Mike Bellenger of the Wichita Falls Yardmen. The Wichita Falls player said his club was banking on being able to push themselves into the postseason, but they are now mathematically eliminated. Before this season, the Yardmen last missed the playoffs in 1895. In the 11 years they have been a Texan Base-Ball League franchise, they have missed the playoffs 9 times. |
