Association of Eastern Texas Galveston Circuit Won: Nacogdoches Crowned Wednesday, September 22nd , 1897 The manager of the Nacogdoches Roaches said "a lot of hard work, talent and luck" are the reasons for his team's Association of Eastern Texas Galveston Circuit championship. "This club believes in themselves and goes out and gets it done," said Joe Moffet. "You can't ask for much more than that as a manager." It's the club's 7th division crown and gives them an opportunity to win the franchise's 3rd Championship of Texas. "We want that title badly," said center fielder Roberto Gómez as he took a break from celebrating with teammates. "This is just a start." |
