Pecan Kings Stop Rojas at 20 Sunday, September 12th , 1897 Enrique Rojas of the Luling Lavender Stockings came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 4 at-bats for the first time in 20 games. Making matters even worse for the third baseman, Luling dropped the game to the Tyler Pecan Kings 9-0. "It was not a good day today," Rojas told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over." So far this year, Rojas is batting .325 with 5 home runs and 64 RBIs. |
