Barnett 5-for-6 for Ghost Lights Friday, September 10th , 1897 All game long, Marfa's Ron Barnett was rattling the walls at Ghost Lights Field and banging out base hits against the Amarillo Horizons. When the dust finally settled on the diamond, he had a 5-hit day and the Ghost Lights had a 16-7 victory. Speaking with reporters after his standout performance, the 25-year-old shortstop said, "Get 5 hits, win a ballgame, it's nice. I could get used to this." Ron Barnett singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run single in the 8th.
