Waco Shuts Out Tyler Behind Langford, 9-0 Thursday, September 2nd , 1897 Waco Mammoths hurler Jalen Langford was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Tyler Pecan Kings, shutting them out 9-0 on 5 hits. "Jalen was very aggressive tonight," Waco manager Howard Wall said. "He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence." Through 9 innings, Langford tallied 1 strikeout and allowed 3 walks. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well," losing manager Marshall Locke said. "Langford has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that off-speed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off." This season Langford has registered 12 wins and 10 losses in 24 starts with a 4.53 ERA.
