Super Month Nets Dougan #1 Batter Prize in ETXA Wednesday, September 1st , 1897 New Braunfels center fielder Scott Dougan was certainly bad news for pitchers in the month of August. He wore them out, going 42 for 98, and was rewarded with the Association of Eastern Texas Batter of the Month award. He hit .429 with 4 home runs, 27 RBIs and scored 19 runs. Looking at his season stats, Dougan has compiled a .347 batting average and a .409 on-base percentage, while hitting 5 home runs and driving in 56 runs. |
