ETXA's Top Hitter Selected Sunday, August 1st , 1897 When it came to hitting the baseball, Ramón Pereira had few Association of Eastern Texas peers in July. The center fielder for San Marcos mauled opposing pitchers for a .414 batting average and was voted the league's best batter for the month. He finished with some strong stats: 1 home run, 27 RBIs, 27 runs scored, 6 walks and a .457 on-base percentage. So far this season Pereira is batting .376 with 2 home runs. |
