Rookie Yohannes Named Best in July Wednesday, August 1st , 1888 Last month Tyler Yohannes beguiled and intimidated United States Border League teams and put up 1 victories. Today the Tucson hurler was awarded the league's Rookie of the Month trophy. He was acclaimed for his outstanding performance during the month of July. Yohannes breezed through the USBL with 1 win and 5 losses in 7 starts and a 2.30 ERA as he struck out 53 in 70.1 innings and held his opposition to a .205 batting average. For the season Yohannes has compiled a 8-21 record with a 2.94 ERA. |
