Guerrero Sweeps into the Campeonato de Circuito Tuesday, July 31st , 1888 It's a sweet sweep for the Guerrero Jinetes and they have won the Serie Interdivisional. The Ciudad Juarez Nortenos were not able to keep pace with the Jinetes and dropped the series in short order, losing 9-6 in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Ciudad Juarez manager Curro Hildreth. It's now on to the Campeonato de Circuito for Guerrero after their 3-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was first baseman Ambrosio Ramirez, who was named MVP. For the series, Ramirez hit .556 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Guerrero Jinetes don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Villa Ahumada Menonitas - San Agustin Algodoneros series. San Agustin leads the series 2 games to 1.
