Mancillas Struts Stuff in Win Over Samalayuca Monday, July 2nd , 1888 In an excellent mound performance, Galeno Mancillas of the Nuevo Laredo Colibris whitewashed the Samalayuca Enjambre 3-0 on a 4-hitter. "I had my best stuff and did a good job of mixing up my pitches," he said after the game. In all, the Nuevo Laredo hurler rang up 2 strikeouts and 2 walks in the shutout win. "We just didn't swing the bats well today," said Enjambre manager Jeremy Knight. "Mancillas did a good job keeping us guessing."
