Goodyear Earns TOCC Rookie of Month Friday, October 1st , 1897 Cecil Goodyear's eyes seem to light up whenever he sees the baseball. The young Matanzas right fielder has been hitting everything in sight for the better part of a month. In September he was voted the Rookie of the Month. During the month he hit .347 with 5 doubles, 2 triples and 1 home run. Goodyear also scored 16 times and drove in 19 runs. Presently Goodyear is hitting .361 with 2 home runs and 65 RBIs. He has played in 81 games and scored 50 times. |
