García Shuts Out Reyes, 4-0 Friday, September 25th , 1885 In a seemingly effortless performance, Gerardo García of the Toa Alta Poetas shot down the Juana Diaz Reyes 4-0 on a 4-hit shutout. "Gerardo was just locating so well and using his pitches," Toa Alta manager Édgar Rivera said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." García recorded 1 strikeout and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Juana Diaz manager Adrián Burnías said in postgame comments to BNN.
