Bell Voted LBQ's #1 Rookie Wednesday, August 1st , 1888 Christopher Bell received the Rookie of the Month Award for July today for some spectacular work on the mound. The 25-year-old Levis hurler chalked up a 6-2 record in 8 starts. He fashioned a 1.58 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 74 innings while holding opponents to a .175 batting average. Quite a month for the rookie! Bell has fashioned a 21-11 mark for the season, 1.91 ERA and thrown 287.1 innings in 32 starts. Opposing clubs are batting .202 against him. |
