Valdez Electric in 4-0 Win Tuesday, September 15th , 1885 Jesús Valdez of the Luquillo Soles was masterful today, pitching a 2-hit shutout, 4-0, against the Moca Rebeldes. By going the distance, he was at the same time able to give his bullpen a rest, a fact appreciated by Luquillo manager Felipe Palomino. "It's nice to have someone who can do that from time to time," he said. "He had command of every ball and every pitch. Great location, too." Valdez had 10 strikeouts and 1 walk in the outing.
