Gatineau Shuts Out Trois-Rivieres Behind Heffner, 4-0 Tuesday, July 24th , 1888 Valdemar Heffner of the Gatineau Draveurs shut out the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens 4-0, stopped them on 4 hits and had 9 strikeouts and 1 walk in a strong outing at Draveurs Park today. "He just came out and was on the attack from the first pitch he threw," Gatineau manager Alcides Leon said later. "When Valdemar stays ahead in the count, he does well. That's the key."
