Loiza, Trujillo Alto Agree to Swap Sunday, December 12th , 1897 Fans in Loiza woke up this morning to learn that their team had traded 34-year old RHP Miguel Manzanares and 23-year old 1B Martín Martínez to the Trujillo Alto Macabeos. In return, the Vejigantes will receive 26-year old C Nicanor Flores. So far in his career, the 34-year-old Manzanares has put up a 3.53 ERA with 102 wins and 105 losses. A check of his lifetime stats shows Flores has played in 328 games with a .291 batting average. Among his 325 hits are 10 home runs. He also has scored 169 runs and driven in 164 runs. |
