Pérez Says Goodbye to Baseball Thursday, November 25th , 1897 Sebastián Pérez said it was an easy decision to announce that this will be his last year of professional baseball. "I'm 41 years old," the Aguadilla Tiburones first baseman said. "Some of the guys in the clubhouse are young enough to be my son. It's time to go before I start getting white hairs." Pérez is hitting at a .290 rate over his 1561-game career. Lifetime he has 161 doubles, 62 triples and 52 home runs with 672 RBIs and 845 runs scored. |
