Great Stroke: Castro Gets 5 Hits Sunday, November 7th , 1897 No matter what the Salinas Pescadores threw at him today, Rubén Castro hit it. He easily handled Pescadores pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Ganaderos to a 8-1 triumph at Terreno de los Ganaderos. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Castro's quip, Pescadores skipper Gabriel Ramos said he "would take him up on that next time." Rubén Castro singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, hit a two-run double in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
