Samaritanos Advance to Serie Interdivisional Sunday, October 31st , 1897 The San Lorenzo Samaritanos are heading to the Serie Interdivisional, having narrowly defeated the Aibonito Polluelos. San Lorenzo edged Aibonito in the series 3-2, with a win at Estadio de San Lorenzo in the clinching game by a 3-1 margin. Cid Roque turned in a strong offensive performance for the Samaritanos and got series MVP for his efforts. "I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a Campeonato Nacional Puertorriqueño win." It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Roque continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance. For the series, he hit .474 with a .545 on-base percentage.
