5-Hit Game for Rendón Tuesday, October 26th , 1897 Marco Antonio Rendón had an answer for everything the Trujillo Alto Macabeos threw at him today at Campo de los Macabeos. The Mayaguez center fielder went 5-for-6 in the game to put his name in the record book and put the Capitanes on top, 14-6. Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Rendón said, "I just see the ball and I hit it." Marco Antonio Rendón tripled in the 1st, hit a two-run triple in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, doubled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th.
