Bucaneros Cruise to Serie Eliminatoria with Sweep Thursday, October 21st , 1897 On the strength of a 6-1 win at Parque de los Cafeteros, the Arroyo Bucaneros have swept the Maricao Cafeteros to win the Serie Preliminar. "We expected to win, but I don't think we anticipated taking the series 3-0," said series MVP Ricardo Rosario. "That's a fantastic team over there, but we wouldn't be denied." For the series, Rosario had a 1.50 ERA over 18 innings pitched, with a 2-0 record. The Arroyo Bucaneros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Dorado Guardianes - San Juan Metropolitanos series. Dorado leads the series 2 games to 1.
