Trejo Befuddles Canovanas in 3-0 Comerio Win Tuesday, October 12th , 1897 Before the game, Felipe Trejo said he liked his chances. His instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing at Campo de los Chupacabras, the Guabaleros pitcher whitewashed the Canovanas Chupacabras 3-0. "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day," Trejo said in the clubhouse afterward. "My control was awesome. I could throw my slider even when I was behind in the count." The Comerio starter held Canovanas scoreless, giving up 6 hits while registering 3 strikeouts and issuing no walks. "We didn't have very many good at-bats," Chupacabras manager Alejandro Estrada said in a postgame interview. "When that happens, you usually lose." So far this season, Trejo has logged a 18-25 record with a 3.61 ERA. He has started 46 games, hurled 386.1 innings and registered 110 strikeouts and 69 walks.
