Moreno on Fire: 5-for-6 for Guaynabo Thursday, October 7th , 1897 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Florentino Moreno today -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Jardines de Guaynabo and paced the Conquistadores to a 7-6 win over the Aguas Buenas Mulos. After his dynamite batting performance, the Guaynabo right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. Florentino Moreno singled in the 1st, tripled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, flied out in the 8th and tripled in the 11th.
