Hitting Streak Still Alive for Pérez Thursday, October 7th , 1897 Win or lose, Félix Pérez just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 3 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 20 games. The Aguada Arzobispos center fielder went 3-for-4 today, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated 6-3 by the Dorado Guardianes at Parque de los Guardianes. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Félix Pérez flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Pérez is batting .336 with 164 hits, 2 home runs, 81 RBIs, 51 walks, .404 OBP and has scored 90 runs. He has played in 130 games. |
