Carlos's Hit Streak Soars to 30 Games Tuesday, October 5th , 1897 Juan Carlos of the Quebradillas Piratas tagged 2 hits in today's 5-3 loss to the Bayamon Vaqueros at Campo de los Piratas to run his hitting streak to 30 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 30-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Juan Carlos walked in the 1st, grounded out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. Carlos is hitting .388 for the season with 6 home runs, 106 RBIs and 114 runs scored. He has 220 hits in 567 at-bats and played in 131 games. |
