Sandoval's Hit Streak Reaches 20 Games Wednesday, September 29th , 1897 Fabián Sandoval, second baseman for the Ciales Valerosos, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 12-4 victory today over the Guayanilla Electricos at Parque de los Eléctricos today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Fabián Sandoval doubled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and grounded out in the 7th. During the current season Sandoval is batting at a .389 clip with 7 home runs and 90 RBIs.
