Contreras Cracks 5 Hits Monday, September 20th , 1897 Eduardo Contreras really sizzled at the plate in today's 11-10 win over Conquistadores. The Rio Grande right fielder blistered Guaynabo for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Contreras was too tough to get out today," the Conquistadores skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Eduardo Contreras hit an RBI double in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run single in the 9th.
