New York Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs Monday, July 26th , 1897 Ed Bagley said it's going to be "an awfully long offseason" for the New York Giants after they missed the Major League Baseball playoffs. The club came close, but ultimately ran out of games to secure a postseason spot and were eliminated from contention today. This is the club's 21st playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1876.In total, the Giants have missed the playoffs 25 times in their 27-year history. |
