Tempe Beats Tucson in Extra Innings
The Tempe Olympians beat the Tucson Highwaymen, 7-6, in 11 innings. Tempe second baseman Noel Spellman, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 4 for 6 with a double and 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Mike Songer notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. His record now sits at 4-3.
