Piedras Negras Carboneros starter Danny Castillo pitched a strong game against the Guerrero Jinetes at Jinetes Park, leading the Carboneros to victory, 7-2. The Carboneros, at 61-46, sit in second place in the Liga Fronteriza División Coahuila.

The Carboneros got an important contribution from shortstop Ernesto Sánchez, who in the top of the second hit a 0-2 splitter into left for a 2-run double. It was his 31st double of the season and put the Carboneros ahead, 3-0.
