The Ciudad Acuna Galanes had to overcome a fine effort from Piedras Negras pitcher Eliseo Orellano to grab a narrow 5-4 win at Carboneros Ballpark. Orellano went 9.2 innings and allowed 3 runs. Picking up the win was Callum McDonald. He went 11.2 innings, allowing 4 runs on 13 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 2. The save went to Celino Gerena, his 3rd this season.

Ciudad Acuna used the timely hitting of Catamantaloedes Núñez to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Galanes on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Piedras Negras manager Kyle Hyrkas.

The Galanes go to 22-80 with the win.
